Come join Sustainable Taranaki team and Ngā Motu Marine Society committee members this Friday 12th June.
Clean-up starts at 11am and goes till 1pm, meet at the Te Rewa Rewa Bridge Carpark. More information about the Nature Clean-Up HERE.
Then the swim is at 1.15pm!
We’ll meet up on The Groyne and head in for refreshing dip on Fitzroy Beach. Bring a reusable cup and some cash/cards to enjoy a hot drink at Little Easy Container Cafe after your swim!
The theme of World Ocean Day this year is focused around Marine Protected Areas aligning with goals of protecting 30% of lands, waters and ocean by 2030 and the recent ratification of the High Seas Treaty. It’s also focused on ‘Reimagining a better future‘.
Ngā Motu Marine Society’s mission is to protect our local moana (ocean) and make marine science accessible for all.
